Did you know that there is a park at the salesforce?
Salesforce Park first opened to the public on August 11, 2018. Its cost is estimated at $2.2 Billion, including repairs and maintenance.
This park is a half-mile loop that stretches into 4 city blocks long, it is located at 425 Mission Street in downtown San Francisco. It is easy to get to Salesforce Park by taking MUNI, BART, bus, and even historic streetcars.
Being at the park, 70 feet (4 stories) in the air and surrounded by nature, feeling the cold breeze from the Embarcadero Piers is the best You just feel all your worries disappear just by walking and enjoying the view.
There is a gondola that takes you to the top of Salesforce Park. It’s basically a glass cube that can transport people on a 40-second journey, beginning at Mission and Fremont streets. I have been on it before and it was very cool seeing how high I was going up. There are also elevators and escalators.
There are many varieties of restaurants and stores below the park that you could go to after visiting the park.
Once you walk into the park, you will see many different types of trees and 13 different botanical feature areas.
This park is easily accessible, there are so many entrances, and there are so many spots where you can chill and enjoy the sun or breeze.
On a recent visit, the gondola was closed to the public due to unknown reasons, but the elevators and escalators are always working. In my opinion, the escalators are the best way up to Salesforce Park since you get to see everything going up, like the buses in the transit center.
There is always something going on in the middle of the park, like a dancing class or even yoga, there is a schedule of events on the Salesforce Park website. There is even a coffee cart you could purchase from, and a recess cart for kids.
The first time I visited the park, I instantly loved it. I like walking around the park listening to music, it’s a perfect spot for going with friends and family, even significant others.
Most of the time is packed, especially around 3-5 pm, because that’s around the time most people are out of work. You will see mostly business people wearing suits walking around, trying to clear their minds and unwinding from their everyday work. Some buildings even connect to the park, which gives them easy access after work.
When I feel overwhelmed, I usually go to the park to distract my mind while I reconnect with nature and feel the cold breeze in my face. It truly brings me peace of mind being there, I highly recommend going there at least once if you haven’t already.
