- I heard you graduated from MHS. When did you graduate?
2010
- How was your experience as a student?
It was great! That is why I decided to return. Teachers and counselors were so kind and helpful. I learned a lot here, and it brings me a lot of joy to see my former teachers like Mr. Zelaya, Ms. Penrose, Ms. Gossin, Mr. Velez, Mr. Garcia, and Ms. Rodriguez.
- How are you enjoying being back at Mission?
I love it. I feel so happy, grateful, and honored that I get to serve and work at my high school, and I get the opportunity to empower students like Mission empowered me when I was young.
- Do you have any pets?
I have a dog. Her name is Lady, and she’s adorable and loves to sleep.
- What are your hobbies?
I like to clean and spend time with my family.
- What activities or sports did you participate in when you were a student?
I loved to serve my community and provided tutoring to elementary school students in my community throughout high school. I also got to experience great internship programs like Myeep and Youth Works. When I was part of Youth Works, I got work at Mission Health Center and that was so much fun!
Enjoy your time as a high student because it is a special time when you can take advantage of a lot of opportunities.
- Where did you hang out when you were a student?
I loved eating lunch with some of our teachers like Ms. Rodriguez, Ms. Penrose, Ms. Gossin, or I would participate in a health club where we provided workshops about wellness to students.
- What has changed since you were a student here?
A lot has changed, like staff.
- What’s it like being back and working at your old school?
Ms. Dumas captured it as a former student: you always feel at home or have this homey feeling even if it has changed.
Let’s make sure that Ms. Argueta feels at home here with the students.
