Concentration Camps At Guantanamo Bay

Those who don’t know history are condemned to repeat it.
President Donald Trump is expanding the Migrant Operation Center at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay to Full Capacity. The executive order will send the “worst criminals” to a concentration camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and expand its capacity by 30,000 beds.
To make it even worse, any person who gets sent to Guantanamo Bay has no right to defend themselves. The executive order took effect later on January 29th.
This executive order could be just the start of concentration camps by the Trump Administration. It’s important to remind ourselves that it took Adolf Hilter 53 days to become a dictator and he did it within the constitution. Donald Trump, if unchecked, could do the same.
Trump said in the white house that “we have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people.”
This executive order could affect innocent migrants, who have been racially profiled by the Trump administration. Many innocent migrants could be sent to these camps and could face the same persecution Jews faced. We have to consider that these people’s rights will be violated, they would face violence, torture, no trial, and inhumane conditions.
DHS uploaded pictures of immigrants detained by ICE ready to be sent to Guantanamo. A family claimed that one of the men in those pictures was their brother and that he was innocent of any crime. The New York Times picked up and confirmed that he was indeed sent to Guantanamo Bay. This is a violation of human rights. Crossing the border does not make anybody a dangerous criminal.
Persecution has started and millions of Americans are supporting the actions taken by the Trump Administration, just like the millions of Germans who once supported the actions of Hitler and believed Jews were the “issue” to their problems.
We need to let Americans know that seeking a better life is not a crime. We need to speak up and educate people about the past, even if it’s hard to think and speak about. We can protest against these actions and we can set up meetings and educate those who haven’t had an opportunity to learn about the past. Social media is controlled by Trumpies and people’s algorithms don’t match people’s ideals.
Together we can use propaganda against them. Immigrants are not the aliens, the Trump administration is the aliens; the ones who lack human decency are the aliens, the ones who support genocide are the aliens, and the neo-nazis running this country are the aliens. Those who want to go against the Constitution are the aliens.
